About
The problem
In the absence of an automated system for triage or risk assessment, GP surgeries and hospitals must follow a manual resource-intense process involving the active participation of consultants, specialist doctors, secretaries, booking office, doctors, secretaries and booking office navigators. Triage, when not correctly done, can result in inappropriate referrals to delayed/missed diagnosis.
Our solution
YouDiagnose predictive risk analysis allows early identification of high-risk cases. Its intelligent triage prioritises the management of high-risk cases ahead of the low-risk ones, is tailored to the individual patient’s need and routes them to the right care pathway, and so optimises resources. The predictive risk-assessment and prediction/triage can be integrated into GP and hospital outpatient services booking dashboard.
The evidence
The application is registered with the MHRA as a software as medical device with an accuracy of more than 88% when compared with expert human output. The company has completed a patient-public involvement study in liaison with the Innovation Agency and Bournemouth University.
