SmartStretcher

Nick Gray

Product Development Specialist

Asked once why I do what I do, I knew exactly how to answer that question….. my priority being the safety of both patient & carer. For me there had to be a better safer & more dignified way of managing patients in crisis. Recovery stretchers had seen significant changes over the years but most have a specialist application or function; none offer a flexible solution to the needs of both patient & carer over a wide variety of situations and applications.. The need for a safer easier more ethical & dignified way of treating & transferring patients & individuals in need of or receiving medical care in whatever circumstances was clear to me and the concept of the SmartStretcher was born. I immersed myself in the research of all manner of incidents involving the transfer of individuals from point of the incident to AED. Working with a wide spectrum of front-line responders including police paramedics A&E HMPS & other professionals I found my passion for improvement in patient care & those providing that care grew insatiably & now totally drives me & SmartStretcher in providing a safe, secure, ethical & dignified seamless transfer to ED’s of all patients & individuals in whatever circumstances environment or situation. And with proven high-quality X-ray imaging and potential CT scanner application, there isn't a comparable product in the market offering such functionality & versatility irrespective of the cause of the incapacity injury or debility; or even in exceptional circumstances challenging behaviour. Adopted by SAR, private ambulance organisations and a number of NHS Hospital Trusts SmartStretcher has also made its way into Europe where initial trials have proved highly favourable with additional interest being generated recently in New Zealand, India and Asia.
