openSMSP (Open Source Spine Mini Services Provider)

Posted on 10th April, 2017

openSMSP is an open source implementation of the NHS Digital Interoperability Toolkit (ITK) Spine Mini Service Provider (SMSP) specification developed by Answer Digital for Kings College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and funded by NHS England Technology Fund.

About

It’s free to use, fully ITK accredited, and is the first step into a new future for open source integration and the key to unlocking data in the NHS.

The software is free to use. You can take it today, on us, and deploy, host and maintain it yourself. All you need is a linux server, a Java developer and some free time to explore how it works to get started with the NHS Digital SMSP deployment process.

Or, if you’re happy to skip to the good bit and just want an N3 ITK accredited end-point to point your application or integration engine at, and would like a head start on the NHS Digital engagement and go-live approval process, we’re here to help.
