Improving outcomes for mothers suffering from postnatal depression

By Laura Boland, Innovation Agency Added 24th Jul, 2019 Updated 30th Aug, 2019

The Innovation Agency is looking for solutions to the challenge of monitoring new mothers' wellbeing when they return home after the birth of their child. The innovation should help clinicians to pick up on the symptoms of postnatal depression earlier and therefore improve health outcomes.

About the challenge

An Innovation Agency project on maternity outpatients identified the need for innovative solutions to pick up on postnatal depression. The challenge is to find an innovation that will support the work of the clinicial teams and improve both the patient experience and health outcomes.
